da doce: Everton moved into the Premier League top six following a narrow 1-0 win against Cardiff at Goodison Park.
da marjack bet: The Blues failed to find their rhythm in attack despite dominating possession against the Bluebirds. The first half was uneventful, and the two team were level heading into the break. On the hour mark, Glyfi Sigurdsson continued his excellent form in front of goal to hand the Toffees a valuable three points heading into next weekend’s Merseyside derby.
The result against Neil Warnock’s men means Everton move into the top six of the Premier League, six points behind Chelsea in fourth. European football is definitely a possibility if Marco Silva can keep his star players fit and firing. With less than two months until January, the Portuguese should be looking to add to his current roster.
One man who should top his shortlist is Crystal Palace superstar – Wilfried Zaha. Valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, the former Manchester United winger has been scoring for fun since joining the Eagles and was heavily linked with a summer transfer. Zaha opted to stay at Selhurst Park, but Roy Hodgson’s side remain on the cusp of another relegation battle.
The Ivory Coast international could surely be tempted into a move given how good Everton look going forward. Capable on either wing, Zaha’s arrival on Merseyside would complete their attack. His excellent dribbling ability and blistering pace make him a nightmare for defenders to deal with, his talents in a squad of Everton’s strength could be devastating. If the Blues are serious about challenging for a place in the top four, Zaha is the man that could lead them to glory.
Palace won’t want to lose their prized asset on the cheap, but Zaha would definitely be worth breaking the bank for.
