In a video posted by Football Daily, via The Last Word on Spurs, Tottenham Hotspur duo Giovani Lo Celso and Juan Foyth have been discussing the impact of new Spurs Head Coach Jose Mourinho, and fans have been quick to react on Twitter.
The Portuguese has overseen two wins from two since replacing Mauricio Pochettino earlier this month, with the north London outfit impressive from an attacking point of view – seven goals is testament to that.
Lo Celso and Foyth both admitted it will take time to get used to the former Manchester United and Chelsea manager’s methods compared to Mauricio Pochettino’s, and his arrival hasn’t been great for the duo to date.
The former has been an unused substitute against West Ham United and Olympiacos, while his Argentine compatriot was on the bench at the London Stadium, but missed out on the squad altogether for the Champions League clash.
Tottenham supporters have taken to social media to give their thoughts on the video, with the general consensus being that they don’t want Mourinho to waste the talents of the South American pair.
One even suggested they “could easily be like Salah and De Bruyne”, who the 56-year-old “wasted” at Chelsea before they moved on and eventually became two of the best players in England.
A fair point indeed, and it should be hoped that the duo appear more in the coming weeks – especially if more senior players aren’t performing.
