da fazobetai: A number of Celtic fans reacted on social media to a key incident from Sunday’s 3-1 win over Kilmarnock at Parkhead. As noted by @CelticFC on Twitter, the visitors’ midfielder Alan Power was sent off in the 56th minute after receiving his second yellow card of the afternoon for a foul on Jeremie Frimpong.
da blaze casino: Ironically, that match was the Hoops right-back’s first Premiership start in seven games following an incident involving Power when the teams last met just over a month ago. On that night at Rugby Park, the Kilmarnock man put in “a crunching challenge”, in the words of The Scottish Sun‘s Kenny MacDonald, on Frimpong which resulted in the Celtic youngster being stretchered off.
Unsurprisingly, that incident enraged a lot of Hoops fans as well as Frimpong, who last week publicly condemned Power over the tackle (as per Daily Record). On Sunday, the 32-year-old was not so lucky, with referee Kevin Clancy showing him a second yellow card after he slid in on the Celtic right-back.
The incident got these Hoops fans on Twitter talking, with some accusing Power of having a personal grudge against Frimpong and others happy that the Kilmarnock man received his comeuppance over January’s flashpoint:
